Hall des Lumières, New York

OPENING 14 september 2022

Culturespaces announced a partnership with IMG, a global leader in events, media and fashion, to create an immersive multimedia experience in New York City called 'The Hall des Lumières' in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood.

Since opening in Paris, France in 2018, Atelier des Lumières’ digital fine art displays have attracted more than 2.6 million visitors to view digitized works from the likes of Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci and Gustav Klimt.

Following its success, Culturespaces’ next center, ‘Bassins de Lumières’, opened in Bordeaux in April 2020, in a former submarine base. Located in the former ‘Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank’, the Hall des Lumières CULTURESPACES DIGITAL® art center will offer immersive exhibitions dedicated to the great masters of art history in a 28,000 ft² space across from New York’s City Hall.

The exhibitions will be designed to complement the venue’s interiors of marble, columns, bank tellers, stained glass windows and sculptures, to enhance the unique multi-sensory experience. CULTURESPACES DIGITAL® art centers are accessible to all generations.

Using an advanced and unique technology, CULTURESPACES DIGITAL® develops its cultural vocation of sharing art and works of great masters to as many people as possible. Through this partnership, IMG will utilize its expertise in staging major cultural events including Frieze art fairs, "New York Fashion Week: The Shows" and the "Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh" exhibition, to work with Culturespaces across all aspects of the project.
