DAYS OUT FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN
In 2007, we are offering activities for school pupils at the Waterloo battlefield. Through playful and educational activities, pupils will learn about the huge battlefield, maintained in its original state, where Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington confronted each other on 18 June 1815.
A one-day educational visit: from € 15 / pupil*
Morning • Guided tour of Lion hamlet (panorama, waxworks museum, Lion mound, film, audiovisual show).
• Battlefield Tour: In a small all-terrain vehicle, visitors will cross the battlefield and discover the English battery positions, the locations of the French cavalry charges, the strategic points of the battle such as the Hougoumont farm... This dynamic voyage of discovery lasts 45 to 50 minutes and is a fascinating addition to the visit itself.
Midday meal (optional)
• Picnic: € 2.50 / person
• Barbecue: € 5 / person
Afternoon: Choice of one activity from the following 3 options
• Treasure hunt (3 optional themes). In small groups, armed with a map, go in search of Napoleon’s forgotten treasure...

• "If they told me tales of Waterloo". From the top of the Lion Mount, discover what made 18 June 1815 an historic date...

A 3-day educational trip
The one day educational visit can be integrated into a 3 day trip which also enables pupils to discover "Brussels and the comic strip". This stay is provided by our partner
Fun Aventure and also introduces the pupils to two major Belgian tourist locations.

• Belgian speciality: tasting a paper cone of chips in the Main Square...
• Exploring game (optional) or Jijé museum
Accommodation
Located close to the centre of Waterloo, but also to the famous musical chapel Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel” We offer you full board, comprising: breakfast + midday meal + snack + evening meal.
Transport
Transport is not included. On request, we can provide you with an estimate of the cost of the coach trip that should be added to the price of the stay.
