Passing on our pasion for our passion for heritage to young people

Fondation Culturespaces supports initiatives that aim to enhance the appeal and appreciation of our heritage amongst children. Modern entertainment and leisure amenities, video games etc. play an increasingly large role in children’s leisure activities. The digital revolution has transformed the methods used for communicating our culture, particular to young people who have been born in a world of digital access to information and culture. It is vital, therefore, to redefine the means we use to communicate about our culture and to find new, targeted methods of bringing culture to a younger audience.

Fondation Culturespaces supports four types of activities:

- Research and experimentation on new types of multimedia systems for museums and cultural sites – multimedia displays, interactive tours etc.

- Installation and use of digital youth-friendly media in heritage sites (podcasts, audioguides, new technologies etc.)

- Organisation of interactive activities, educational or theatrical workshops to add to young people’s knowledge and understanding of a given site, topic or era.

- Organisation of historical re-enactments or exhibitions to enhance the appeal of history and art for children.

Our heritage is the most wonderful story we can tell to our children!
