Foreword by the President

Our charitable arm, Fondation Culturespaces, was founded in order to promote cultural awareness for children, by opening up access sites, monuments and collections that illustrate our rich heritage.
Our first commitment is to work to reduce inequality of access to culture for young people. Our cultural and historical heritage must be made accessible to all, in particular to children from marginalized backgrounds or those with disabilities or long-term illnesses. Our work in this area includes actions involving communication, awareness-raising and accessibility, in close partnership with schools and other specialised charities.
Our second commitment is to pass on to young people a love of our cultural heritage. Children are the future and they will soon be the guardians of our cultural wealth. Our desire is to support fun and educational, artistic and multimedia activities that aim to enhance the appeal and appreciation of our cultural and historical heritage amongst young people. Examples of such actions include historical re-enactments, multimedia displays, workshops etc.
Our third commitment is to make children and their parents aware of the need to preserve and promote our heritage. It is vital that this historical legacy is passed on to future generations.
By enhancing the appeal of our heritage and helping young people appreciate it, we aim to contribute to the preservation and transmission of our culture.
